PETER VAN DER BORGH (SYDNEY SEPT 28 2010)

I urge everybody to watch this 3 minute video clip of Peter van der Borgh filmed in Sydney on Sept 28 2010..

"We have regional geologists out and about working up some regional targets..."

of particular note is the mention at 2 mins and 10 seconds of :

"once we are in production we should see some fairly rapid growth in the resource base, new discoveries across the province...."

Here is the link.....

THE DANGER I SEE HERE IS THE PROCESSING OF MATERIAL FROM OTHER MINES AT MAJORS CREEK.....DONT YOU SEE THAT TOO?!

Peter van der Borgh  is stating clearly for all here....... HE WANTS TO EXPAND OPERATIONS IN THIS REGION.......am i right in understanding that sites in Neriga and Mongarlowe have already been targeted.?

  1. gold seams obviously run all over the place around this district and they will know all the sites by now with no doubt....it is just the logistics and time it takes to deal with the likes of concerned residents!!..several years ago in majors creek there was a disclaimer to sign even then which gave rights to any mining activity - this was a year or so before we even heard a whisper that the mines were going to be looked into once again - maybe it had always been there but this gold company has been on the stock market now for 5-6 years by the sounds of it so these people have pretty good assurance from official/govt bodies that this thing is legally going ahead no matter what we say or do - I guess the question is how much pressure can we put on the company to further research and find solutions for the safety of the environment prior to final consent going ahead plus put doubt in the govt's minds that voters en masse do not want this to happen in a marginal seat etc.... - the MD had very clear timeline he was working to on that video - all in the bag as far as they are concerned - I hope there is enough time for this blog and for concerned citizens and residents of this district to actually do something concrete about this.

I have forwarded the information to Get Up people as i believe this issue is about the right of the common man against the big companies who know how to work the governments of the day and the local residents are just "dealt with" in the interests of the overall good of the economy I guess!!! Am hoping someone out there has some sort of connection to radio/tv/newpaper editors or owners???....also anyone know any top dog environmentalists like Myles and Milo Dunphy from the 1960's and 1970's who are not afraid of the big end of town and who knows how to fight hard???...I believe it is a done deal unless we have big guns available to us. governments have to find it "too hard" financially to stamp their approval - they have to have very loud voices and opinions coming in an orderly and strong fashion from voters and a groundswell of change in support from marginal seats etc.....from little things big things grow so they say so get those big boys onside somehow - environmentalists, newspaper, tv, radio etc...and go for it!!!good luck to us all - majors creek is worth saving for its beauty alone let alone the hundreds of people who live there and have done for generations and the new residents who have chosen this beautiful place to put down roots - is nothing sacred!!!?
